 YOUTH ACTIVITY NEWS

• Espanola Valley High School  entrepreneur, Marcos Archuleta, has recruited 25 EVHS seniors to be tutors in 9th grade Math and English classes. All tutors are required to go through 4 hours of training and will receive $10 an hour from the ENLACE/GEAR UP project.
• Jeremy Jones, the youth entrepreneur teacher at Taos Charter School, was awarded a grant for the Passive Solar Greenhouse Entrepreneurial and Environmental Science Learning Program. The mission is to give middle school students authentic experiences in freedom through environmentally concious  entrepreneurship. this program will serve K-8. One hour each week, all students in grades six, seven, and eight, will be instructed on how to create the business plan and run the business. Each year students will decide how to use the profits from produce sales to benefit the community. For more information, contact Jeremt Jones at Taos Charter.
